BLS, or Basic Life Support, is the foundation for saving lives. The course is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings or by those in a healthcare training program.
The BLS course covers a range of pre-hospital and in-hospital lifesaving interventions. It covers international guidelines and recommendations on Choking and CPR for Adults, Children and Infants including the use of a Bag Valve Mask and an Automated External Defibrillator.
BLS training is perfect for a wide variety of medical professionals including Doctors, Dentists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Paramedics, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Radiographers, Clinical Technologists, Midwives, Optometrists and other allied health personnel.
Public Safety officials and other First-Responders such as Lifeguards, Police Officers and Firefighters will also benefit from this course.
APPLY FOR THIS COURSEEach participant will receive a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Manual. The participant will be required to complete written and practical assessments with a pass rate of at least 85%.
There are no prerequisites, but is more suitable for candidates in Health Care environment. Participants should have carefully read through the manual prior to the day of training. The BLS is a prerequisite for the AHA Advance Life Support Course.

Card valid for 2 years.
International Certification
HPCSA and AHPCSA professionals earn 10 CEU points plus 1 ethics point when successfully completing the course.

Comfortable clothing and flat shoes that allow for easy movement are ideal due to practical sessions throughout the training. Track suits or jeans work well.
