The Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED course is intended primarily for those who are expected to provide First Aid and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) in their workplace. The course provides hands-on practice, DVD based training, in the skills of First Aid for Adults, including medical & environmental emergencies, injuries, CPR and choking for Adults and the use of an AED (Auto External Defibrillator)

Who should Do this Course?

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements.

The Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED Course is intended for all employees in the workplace, persons wanting to learn First Aid, CPR and the use of the AED and Family members of patients at risk. All responders such as commercial airline crews, care givers, fire fighters, police, security personnel, sport couches, life guards etc.

Training Material

Learners receive a 126-page full colour student workbook to review before, during and after the course. There is also a First Aid quick reference guide included with the work book. Two pocket size “reminder cards” are included with the workbook, displaying the correct steps for adult, child and infant CPR, including the use of an AED. It also includes information on the recognition of heart attacks and strokes. The participants will be assessed on their practical and required to complete a written assessment after training.
