Basic Fire Safety

The Basic Fire Safety course teaches participants to recognise various fire hazards and various prevention measures to equip participants with the necessary skills to ensure that work spaces are safer. Participants are also taught skills to quickly and correctly identify the type of fire so that they can select the appropriate fire fighting procedure to bring fires under control quickly and to extinguish fires.

Aligned to Unit Standard 252250 – Apply firefighting techniques and certificates are valid for 2 years.
