Company Background

Umbono Training, founded in 2005, started with a vision: making First Aid training accessible to everyone. What began as a modest class of nine trainees has transformed into the leading First Aid training provider in the Garden Route. We have evolved beyond initial expectations, expanding our offerings to become a comprehensive Occupational Health & Safety courses provider.

Our commitment to excellence led to Service SETA Accreditation in 2009, marking a pivotal moment in our growth. Over the years, we diversified our portfolio to include courses such as Field Safety, Snake Awareness, Pool Safety, Personal Financial Management, Health & Safety, SHE Representative, and Basic Fire Fighting.

In 2018, we achieved accreditation from the Resuscitation Council of South Africa (RCSA), further enhancing our service offering. Subsequent years saw continuous growth, with accreditations from TETA, FP&M SETA, AgriSETA, and ETDP SETA, positioning us as a preferred provider for various training programs.

As we propel into 2024, our commitment remains unwavering. We are dedicated to elevating customer experiences by providing high-quality training that not only imparts skills but adds tangible value and expertise.

Umbono Training proudly announces the opening of our Mossel Bay branch. This development is part of our commitment to bringing our high-quality training closer to our clients and communities. The Mossel Bay branch will serve as a hub for excellence, offering the same standard of comprehensive and accredited training that has made us a trusted partner in the industry.

In our continuous pursuit of excellence, Umbono Training is actively seeking accreditation for Forklift training from TETA. As part of our commitment to offering comprehensive occupational training, this addition will enable us to provide specialised instruction for safe and efficient forklift operations.

Moreover, we are in the process of seeking accreditation with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) for the new First Aid programmes and for the Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner programme. This strategic move aligns with our mission to stay at the forefront of industry standards and broaden the scope of our offerings, ensuring that our training remains relevant, effective, and aligned with national qualifications frameworks.
